Good Luck and Good Wind (2026), film still

Good Luck and Good Wind

About this Short Film

“Goodluck and Goodwind” tells the story of a former rising sailor whose life and identity changed dramatically after a serious sailing accident. The incident left him with both physical limitations and emotional trauma, preventing him from returning to competition as before. Now working as a coach for a younger sailor, he tries to place the dreams he could no longer achieve onto his student. However, the more he pushes, the more he realizes that it does not truly make him happy. The film explores disability through both the physical and psychological impact of trauma, including feelings of loss, isolation, and the inability to let go of the past. Ultimately, he begins to understand that being a coach is not about using his student to fulfill his own unfinished dreams, but about finding joy in seeing his student happy and discovering their own path in competitive sailing.
